… that sometimes, things will happen whether you want them to, or not. It’s not a matter of becoming someone else, or being who you are. When things happen, they happen. And when they do, it’s time to either roll up your sleeves and say, “Let’s get this shit done,” or go to bed, resigned. There’s no right answer to this, you know. Even if you resign, reject every possibility that tomorrow might be a brighter day – sometimes, it’s just not. And what do you do then? You sing. You cry. You laugh. Till everything just washes around you like the sea. And you imagine yourself to be in a greater place than you have ever been, knowing you tried your best, knowing you are who you are, and they can’t take that away from you. Not now, not ever.
