watching me
alone I sit here and wait
for the perfect soul
handsome, wanted?
Uncertainly, you won’t
know till you get what you get.

Under the sheets, a coward
is born: our lives intertwine and
more than ever, I want.

I want.

Because sometimes,
even the wind knows
you don’t exist.

Everyone but you knows.

It’s all right –
you can keep talking
and I will sit back and listen
to the both of you
having the time of your life
without me.

I know how Harry felt
when Ron and Hermione fell asleep
holding hands.

I know how Ron felt
when Harry and Hermione talked

It’s all right to be unsure. You

put your head back
listen to the rain
hoping to God, to God,
it will be all right again.
When they come, they go.
When they go, they
come back to the same
one they left.
“I trust you,”
and the world doesn’t.
Who is right?

Hush – don’t say a word. Put your head back and listen to the rain. Everything will be all right again.

… that sometimes, things will happen whether you want them to, or not. It’s not a matter of becoming someone else, or being who you are. When things happen, they happen. And when they do, it’s time to either roll up your sleeves and say, “Let’s get this shit done,” or go to bed, resigned. There’s no right answer to this, you know. Even if you resign, reject every possibility that tomorrow might be a brighter day – sometimes, it’s just not. And what do you do then? You sing. You cry. You laugh. Till everything just washes around you like the sea. And you imagine yourself to be in a greater place than you have ever been, knowing you tried your best, knowing you are who you are, and they can’t take that away from you.┬áNot now, not ever.
